This past Saturday, I had the privilege of filming Brook and Garrett's Black Hills western wedding at Spur Creek Saloon and Ranch!
After getting ready, they did a first look, and read the sweetest personal vows to each other. The ceremony that followed was attended by only their close family and friends inside the venue's main barn, and I still can't get over Garrett's reaction seeing Brook walk down the aisle. Also, if you think doing a first look before the ceremony will spoil the excitement of your partner seeing you come down the aisle, I think Garrett just proved you wrong ;)
Once they sealed the deal, the newly-married couple and their wedding party loaded onto a party bus that took them to the reception at the Spearfish Holiday Inn. I had to drive my car from Spur Creek to the reception, so I couldn't be on the bus. In order to make sure there was still footage, I gave my camcorder to one of the bridesmaids to use, and the results were hilarious. I found some great shots after going back through the footage, and it's going to be fun to use some of those in the full wedding video.
While Garrett and Brook's ceremony was on the smaller side, their reception was definitely not. Hundreds of friends came down to party and celebrate with this couple, and danced the night away. All in all, this was such a fun wedding to capture!
